REFERENCE PHOTOS

  • For all custom portraits, I will require a reference photo to establish a likeness in the finished work. It is best to have a clear, focused digital photograph, at least 1000px wide, 300 dpi if possible. For digital artworks, a good quality digital photo will give the best results. Make sure it is at least 2000px wide & not blurred!
  • Reference photos can be emailed to me or uploaded to a remote site such as photobucket or flickr so that I may download them.

COMMUNICATION
  • Please note that at all times during the artwork process I am contactable via email (if you are an overseas client) or via phone & email if you are an Australian client. 
  • I will keep you updated on the work in progress and if you wish, I can email screen shots of my progress every few days or each week depending on the type of project. If the artwork is a personal commission, I would like you to be involved in the decision making process so you will be as happy with the final outcome as I am. 

Booking a Custom Artwork
What you need to know 


  • Every artwork is begun from scratch using lots of drawing, painting and a large number of stock photo references that I have either photographed myself or which are available to artists for unrestricted use with the permission of the photographers.
  • Most commissioned work takes between 8-12 weeks to complete, depending on number of bookings and the degree of complexity in the desired artwork.

PRICING & PAYMENT
  • Estimated prices are available for each of the mediums I work in. Please click on each of the pictures to the left for further information about each medium. Prices are in AUD (Australian dollars) unless otherwise stated.
  • Elaborate artworks, such as those containing a number of subjects will be priced accordingly. Eg. Two subjects: add $50 to the basic price; Three or more subjects: add $100 (per subject) to the basic price. 
  • Please contact me to discuss your project and I can give you a closer estimate depending on the type of artwork you would like me to create for you.
  • A deposit of 50% is required before the work is begun. Remainder may be paid in installments depending on the time frame in which the work is to be completed. Paypal is the preferred payment option, however, if you are an Australian resident, payment by direct deposit may be arranged. Please contact me to discuss payment options.

APPROVAL AND DELIVERY

  • When the artwork is complete, a small scanned copy or watermarked preview will be emailed to you for approval before the final payment is due. 
  • Digital artworks are delivered via email and an A3 printed copy of the finished work can be posted to you (postage and handling is $20 for standard airmail shipping, additional $20 for registered international airmail ~ only recommended for original artwork)
  • Traditional artworks are first scanned then the original work is posted to you. The cost of shipping will be included in the quote I give you.
